In 1975, Mrs. Joan Antrim of Clintonville working with Pricilla Curtiss of Pricilla’s Doll House, Westerville, conceived the idea of a Bicentennial Quilt. They met with the Westerville Bicentennial Commission, who approved the making of the quilt as an official Bicentennial function.
Nearly fifty women helped to design and complete the 40 blocks. Many of the historic buildings depicted in the Quilt were based on drawings from local artist R.E. Miner’s book, A Westerville Sketch Book.
The quilt has been on display at the Westerville Public Library since November 22, 1981. For pictures of the quilt and historic photos of the locations depicted, download this file (PDF).

This portfolio is now owned by the Westerville Library and kept in the archives of the Ohio Historical Society.
