Karen Petersen

Board of Trustees - Vice-President

Karen Petersen was appointed to the Board in January 2011. She serves as Operations Director for the global recruitment process outsourcing company SourceRight Solutions. As a trustee Karen brings to the Board 15+ years of work experience dedicated to business operations, talent acquisition, financial management and employee development.

Karen’s interest in books began at a young age when her father regularly brought her to her local library in Cutchogue, NY for preschool story time. Both of Karen’s parents were educators and that lineage helped spark an interest in reading and learning that continues today.

Karen moved to Westerville from North Carolina with her family in 2009 after her husband Dustin accepted a position with OhioHealth at Riverside Methodist Hospital. During their first year in Westerville, the family took advantage of many of the services and participated in various events at the library. Her children, Clay and Olivia, have especially enjoyed the Lego Competition and the Advanced Readers Club. 

She looks forward to sharing her enthusiasm for the library with the Board and plans to use her business skills and creativity to benefit one of her favorite places in all of Westerville, our library.
