Technology Center
Use of the Technology Center is open to all patrons.
- The Technology Center is located on the second floor of the library.
- To use a computer, log in with your library card number at an open station.
- If the lab is currently full, place your name on a waitlist. The sign-up station is located at the entrance to the Technology Center. The system gives a time approximation
for the next available computer; computers may become available much
sooner than the estimated time frame. You will have 5
minutes to log on to an assigned computer once it becomes available.
- You can also reserve a computer for a specific day and time. Reservations will be held for 15 minutes from the original reservation start time. To make a reservation, contact us.
- All workstations will be logged off five minutes before closing.
- There is a 1-hour limit when others are waiting.

The Technology Center also offers computers with more advanced tools that can be used for special projects, including:

iMacs (Apple machines)
The iMac computers can be used for various video editing or digital
imaging projects.
There are three (3) iMac computers available for use in the Technology Center. One (1) can be used for general Office and Internet needs. The other two (2) iMac computers provide more advanced tools that can be used for special projects and self-training, including:
- Audio and video editing
- VHS to DVD conversion
- Document layout
- Photo editing
- Optical character recognition (OCR editing)
- Scanner for photos and documents
- Web page authoring
The two Macs with advanced capabilities have a 3-hour limit when others are waiting. The other Mac has a 1-hour limit.

Printing
- To print, you must add money to your library card using our Add Value station. See a staff member for details.
- Printing costs $.10 per page for black and white, $.25 per page for color.

- Microfilm/Microfiche Reader with built-in printer ($.10 per printed page)

- Headphones, power cords and mice for in-library use
