Egypt in Columbus

The Westerville Library is proud to be involved with Egypt in Columbus, a city-wide effort to bring the excitement of Ancient Egypt to Ohio's capital. Throughout the coming months, we will be hosting events that will transport you back in time, where mummies and pharaohs were a part of everyday life!

Passport to Egypt

Embark on a quest to learn more about Egypt by downloading the Passport to Egypt. This passport will lead you through different challenges at COSI, the Columbus Museum of Art and participating libraries. Some of the challenges include attending an Egyptian event, reading an Egypt-related book and writing a review or drawing a picture based on what you've learned. If you are able to complete the challenges, you will be entered in a drawing for cool prizes!

Uncover the mystery of the mummy at the Westerville Library by completing our Egypt activity sheets or attending one of the library programs listed below. (You can even view and print Activity Sheet 1 or Activity Sheet 2 to begin your quest at home.) By participating, you will be eligible for a raffle drawing for free tickets to the museum exhibit. And don't forget: As you complete your challenges, be sure to ask the Youth Services staff for a stamp on your passport!
