Email & Phone Notices
The library offers notices
or alerts as a courtesy to help you stay informed about your borrowed and requested items.
Email Notices
Sign Up
- Log on to MY ACCOUNT.
- Click on the EDIT link.
- Add or edit your email address.
- Click SUBMIT.
- To
stop receiving email notices, click on the EDIT link and delete your
email address. (If no email address is listed, you will receive
automated phone notifications.)
Examples
- Notices for
items that are about to become due. (On all 14 and 28 day loans, you
will receive an email message 2 days before the item is to become due.
Not available through the automated phone system.)
- Notices for items that are overdue. (You will receive three notices to let you know when your item is 10, 20 and 30 days overdue.)
- Notices for items that you have reserved (sometimes referred to as a “hold”) when they are ready and available for you to pickup.
Problems?
- Do we have your current email address on file?
- Did you check your spam folder?
- Have you added our email address (noreply@westervillelibrary.org, notice@westervillelibrary.org and circ-notices@westervillelibrary.org) to your email's approved sender's list or whitelist?
- Did you accidentally add our address to your email's blocked addresses list?

Phone Notices
Sign Up
- Log on to MY ACCOUNT.
- Click on the EDIT link.
- Check to make sure an email address is not listed. (The system will automatically choose email notices if an email address is provided.)
- Add or edit your telephone number.
- Click SUBMIT.
Examples
- Notices for items that are overdue. (You will receive three notices to inform you of an overdue item.)
- Notices
for items that you have reserved (sometimes referred to as a “hold”)
when they are ready and available for you to pickup.
Problems?
- Do we have your current phone number on file?
- Is your voicemail/answering machine message longer than 10 to 15 seconds? Sometimes, this causes the automated message to be cut off.
- Is your voicemail/answering machine full?
