Instructions for Your NOOK

You can get ebooks and music on your NOOK for free with these library services: Ohio Digital Library, Westerville Cloud Library, Freegal Music and *Libby.

I want ebooks.

  1. Install this software: Adobe Digital Editions
  2. Or download this app: OverDrive Media Console (NOOK Color/Tablet users only)
  3. For more choices, install this app/software: 3M Cloud Library
  4. Browse for titles: Ohio Digital Library or Westerville Cloud Library
  5. Checkout and download books.
  6. For Ohio Digital Library, choose PDF or ePUB format.
  7. Transfer the file to your device, if necessary.

*Libby is available for newer NOOK tablets with color screens.

You can keep books for up to 3 weeks, 10 items at a time per account.

I want music.

  1. Browse or search for songs: Freegal Music
  2. Log in with your library card number.
  3. Download songs.
  4. Plug your NOOK into your computer via a USB cable.
  5. Transfer the MP3 file to your device's My Music folder.

You can download up to 5 songs per week or stream 3 hours of songs per day.
