How It Works

Who?

Whether you're a new parent who wants to prepare your child for a life of reading, a kid who has just learned to read on your own, a teen who is looking for something to do this summer, or a grown-up who just loves to read, the Summer Reading Program is for you!

What?

Read anything. Read everything. There are no limits.

Not sure what the pick up first? Try these award winners or these picks for kids & teens.

When?

Register and log between May 28 and August 2, 2014.

How?

How do you participate?

  • Beginners: Complete early literacy exercises with your baby, toddler or pre-reader.
  • Kids: Log the hours you spend reading.
  • Teens: Log the hours you spend reading, volunteering or attending library events.
  • Adults: Review or rate books you've read or listened to.

Why?

The more you log, the more chances you have to win prizes. Get started.
