Become a Volunteer
Why Volunteer?
Did you know that in 2008, volunteers gave 4,654 hours of their time to the Westerville Public Library?
Volunteer assistance with ongoing, weekly tasks is always greatly appreciated by Library staff. By donating a couple of hours of your spare time on a weekly basis, you can contribute to the Library in valuable ways.
- Shelving recently returned materials
- Assisting Outreach staff who deliver materials to homebound persons
- Helping with special projects
- Assisting with library events and programs
- Helping to process or repair library materials
- and more!

Volunteering as an Adult (Ages 18+)
To discover more about becoming a volunteer, please contact Community Services. If you are age 18 and older, you will be invited to complete a brief form, telling us about yourself and the times you are available to work.
Volunteers as a Teen (Ages 12 to 18)
Students age 12 and older are eligible to become TVs (Teen Volunteers). TVs serve on an advisory board, helping to develop programs and events especially for teens. They also help with the Summer Reading Program for children. Applications are available at the Youth Services desk.
