The Brewer family would like to recommend “checking out” the audio tape section of the Library the next time you take a trip. During spring break we drove to Florida and back. For about 24 hours of the drive, we listened to the book on tape, Exodus, by Leon Uris. The hours flew as we traveled down the interstate involved in the individuals’ lives as presented by Mr. Uris in his historical novel. We learned so much about the Jewish people’s struggles to have a homeland and the eventual formation of the modern day country of Israel. Books on tape are not just for the sight impaired. They can be away for traveling families or people who need to spend time in their car to enjoy a good book!
