I lost an item. What should I do?

If you have lost or damaged library materials, you will be charged for the replacement cost of the item and a $5 processing fee.

The library may accept a copy of the item in lieu of a monetary payment. If accepted, you will still be responsible for the $5 processing fee. For more information, contact Customer Services at 614-882-7277 ext. 2 or customerservices@westervillelibrary.org.

I found an item that I already paid for.

If you find a lost item in fair condition within 8 weeks of paying for it, you may return it and ask that the library refund the cost of the item.

I returned an item, but it's still checked out to me.

You can request that the library do a search of the shelves for the item in question. Learn more.
