How do I renew items?

You have many options for renewing items.

  • Via your online account
  • Via the library's mobile app
  • Via 24/7 self-service at 614-882-7277 ext.1
  • With a staff member during library hours at 614-882-7277 ext. 2
  • At the welcome desk inside the library's main entrance

*Items checked out through SearchOhio or OhioLINK cannot be renewed via the 24/7 self-service system. To renew these items, please log into your online account or contact the library at 614-882-7277 ext. 2.

More Information

  • When a renewal is successful, the new due date will be exactly one loan period from the current date.* (For example, if you renew a movie with a 7-day loan period on January 1, your new due date will be January 8.) 
  • When a renewal is unsuccessful, items borrowed from other libraries will be assessed a fine for the days between the due date and the day you renewed the item.

*If your library card account's expiration date is before the item’s due date, the due date for the item will be set as your expiration date.
