What Do I Need?

  1. Computer and/or eBook reader, MP3 player, etc.
    For a list of all compatible devices and the formats each can play,
    visit the Device Resource Center.
  2. Internet Connection
    Needed to browse and download titles.
  3. Library Card
    Don't have a Westerville Library card? Apply here.

How Do I Get Started?

Browse

Choose a book or audiobook format, then browse for available titles.

  1. eBooks: Read books in EPUB, PDF, Open ePUB or Open PDF format.
  2. eAudiobooks: Listen to audiobooks in WMA or MP3 format.

Note: The computer or device you are using may limit the formats you can access. Find out more.

Checkout

  1. Login to My Digital Account.
  2. Enter your Westerville Library card number.
  3. Add a title to your cart.
  4. If an item is not immediately available, join the waitlist.
  5. Choose a 7 or 14-day loan period.
  6. You can have 10 items checked out at the same time.

Download

  1. Download and install the free required software.
  2. eBooks require Adobe Digital Editions.
  3. eAudiobooks require OverDrive Media Console.
  4. Download the title.

Transfer

If you have a Nook, Kindle, iPod or other supported device that requires a computer to transfer books to it:

  1. Plug your device into your computer.
  2. Transfer the title to your device.

Enjoy

  1. You can enjoy your title for up to 14 days.
  2. When the title has expired, it will be automatically returned to the library, so you will never accrue fines!
  3. The expired file will remain on your computer or device until you delete it.
  4. If you want to renew the title, try checking it out again before deleting the file from your computer.
