How It Works

Kids, read what you love. Teens, fight summer boredom with books, volunteering and library events. Parents, foster a love of reading with your babies. Adults, reconnect with your favorite pastime.

Yes! All ages are welcome.

What should I read?

Read anything. Read everything. Books, ebooks, audiobooks, magazines...it all counts.

What do I do?

Beginners

Babies, toddlers and pre-readers

With caregivers, complete 32 activities and reading challenges.

Kids

Readers through grade 5

Complete 32 activities and reading challenges.

Teens

Grades 6-12

Read, volunteer or attend library events for 30+ hours.

Adults

Ages 18+

Read books or listen to audiobooks.

Why should I participate?

Reading can reduce stress, increase empathy for others and keep your mind sharp. And it's fun! Challenge yourself to a summer of reading and win prizes along the way.

Beginners & Kids

Every library visit = sticker(s)

32 activities = a book

Teens

Welcome gift = free cookie or chips at Coffee Service

15 hours = a book

30 hours = a book

30+ hours = chances at grand prize drawing

Prizes: Amazon.com gift cards

 

Adults

Welcome gift = free coupon for scoop of Whit's Frozen Custard, discount certificate for camping at Ohio State Parks, 50% off admission to 2017 Ohio Renaissance Festival (while supplies last)

1 book read = chance at weekly and grand prize drawings

Prizes: $10 & $50 gift cards for area restaurants and tickets to local events
