Teen Volunteers

Earn service hours by helping library staff. Requirements vary. Spaces are limited.

Before applying, review these expectations. After applying and before your first volunteer shift, all volunteers must attend an orientation.

Lead Volunteers

  • Dates: Ongoing
  • Ages: 16-18
  • Minimum Availability: 4-6 hours per month (during school year), 4-6 hours per week (in summer)
  • Tasks: Event help & materials preparation
  • Status: Currently full. Please check back for new opportunities on April 1 at 9am.

Note: All volunteers must fill out an application, even if you've volunteered before.

Summer

  • Dates: May-July
  • Ages: 12-18
  • Minimum Availability: 2 hours per month
  • Tasks: Giving out prizes, helping sign up readers
  • Status: Currently full. Please check back for new opportunities on April 1 at 9am.

Homework Help

  • Dates: August-May
  • Ages: 15-18
  • Minimum Availability: 1 hour per week
  • Tasks: Homework help, reading with kids
  • Status: Currently full.
