Drive-Up Window

After June 1, 2021...

Starting June 1, drive-thru service will return to normal.

  1. When you arrive, drive up to the window. (No need to call ahead.)
  2. Show your library card or photo ID.
  3. Your items will be checked out and handed to you through the window.

The privacy of your library card account is a responsibility we take very seriously. If you have misplaced your library card or wish to pick up items for someone else, the following options are available:

  • Request a replacement card at the welcome desk.
  • Choose pickup location: Self-Serve Reserve. At the self-checkout station, type in your library card number and PIN.
  • Link your family accounts.
  • Log into your account via the library's new app. It will automatically generate a barcode that you can scan at checkout.
  • Other options
Library hours (Mon-Sat 9am-6pm) and returns (Mon-Sat 8am-8pm) will remain the same for now.

Request an Item

I want to borrow an item. What should I do?

  1. Place a hold online or by calling 614-882-7277 ext. 2.
  2. Expect delays due to limited staffing, high demand, and quarantined materials.
  3. Wait for an email or phone notice confirming your item is ready for pickup.
  4. You will have 4 days to pick up your item.

I requested an item, but I haven’t received my notification yet. Is something wrong?

You may experience delays due to limited staffing, high demands, and quarantined materials. Please wait until you receive an email or phone notice that your item is ready for pickup before coming to the library. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Can I get new books and movies?

Yes! The library his receiving shipments of new items as they are released by publishers. Some release dates have changed. Please expect delays due to limited staffing, vendor availability, and quarantined materials.

Pick Up Items

My items are ready for pickup. What should I do?

  1. Visit the library during open hours, Monday-Saturday from 9am-6pm.
  2. Enter the main parking lot via Walnut St and Library Rd.
  3. When you arrive, call 614-259-5035.
  4. Tell us your library card number or provide other identifying information as requested.
  5. Drive up to the window.
  6. Pick up the items with your name from the table.

Don’t have a cell phone or car? Please wear a face covering when approaching the window.

I usually have items delivered to my school. Can I pick them up at the library instead?

Yes! You may pick up items at the drive-thru window within 4 days once you receive the message that it is "ready for pickup".

I am unable to use the drive-thru.

We understand that you may not be able to use the drive-thru service for a variety of reasons. If that is the case, please contact us to discuss options: 614-882-7277 ext. 2 or

I am unable to wear a face covering. 

If you are unable to wear a face covering and need to approach the drive-thru window, please contact us to make alternative arrangements.

Are there any items I can’t borrow at this time?

Currently, the following items are unavailable to borrow: art prints, guitars, learning kits, and puzzles.
